Vermont schools work to find ways to manage cellphone usage

SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — Middle and excessive schools in Vermont are grappling with how to manage college students’ cellphone usage.

Schools throughout the state have various approaches starting from limiting usage in school rooms to banning telephones totally.

Last yr, Essex Middle School banned college students from utilizing their telephones from the start of faculty at 8:05 a.m. to the top of the day at 3:15 p.m.

Colchester High School lets lecturers set their very own individualized classroom guidelines.

Principal Heather Baron says the college selected not to ban telephones totally, so employees may train college students when it’s or is not respectful to use them.
